Description
The effect: a colorful box on legs is displayed, the front and rear door opened to show it empty. A volunteer steps in through the rear and the doors closed behind them.
(NOTE: If your volunteer is a little “big,” the door latch will compensate so there are no embarrassing “you don’t fit in the box, kid” moments)
Then, up to ten balloon swords are thrust into the holes in the sides of the cabinet. HOW will they POSSIBLY escape the Balloon Swords of Death?! MAGICALLY! The front doors are opened to show that the volunteer’s body, from their knees to their armpits, has vanished! The box is pivoted around the volunteer (on skate wheel casters) so the entire audience can see the FULL effect.
(NOTE: The interior is not just a “black box.” We’ve incorporated a subtlety from Jim Steinmeyer’s “Criss Cross” illusion to make the inside a bit more effective…even at close range!)
The doors are closed, the balloon swords removed, the front and rear doors opened to show your brave helper is none the worse for their amazing experience. They emerge to take their (and YOUR) well-deserved bow!
